HOWARD
KUTCHER received his bachelor's degree in
accounting from Baruch College (CUNY) in 1981 and passed the CPA examination shortly
afterwards. He started his career by working as an auditor with two small/medium-size CPA
firms. Realizing that he would rather work in the tax field, he joined the tax department
of Main Hurdman in 1983 and worked there until 1987, when the firm merged into Peat
Marwick Mitchell & Co. Following KPMG Peat Marwick, he left to join the corporate tax
department of Sterling Drug, Inc. (a Fortune 500 Corporation). When that corporation was
acquired by Eastman Kodak in 1988, he entered the tax placement field with the intention
of capitalizing on the fact that unlike most recruiters, he understands the complexities
of taxation.
In 1988, he was awarded a master's degree in taxation from Pace University, which he
earned at night while working full-time at the above firms. From 1988 through 1990, Howard
worked at two large personnel agencies heading up the corporate tax division. He left in
1990 to form his own firm - Tax Network Resources, Inc. (the name was later changed to the
present one). In 1996, he relocated his company from Manhattan to the suburbs.
Howard is originally from Brooklyn, NY. He currently resides with his wife and children in
Westchester County. His hobbies include sports, traveling and music (he's an accomplished
pianist). He's active in community affairs, as well as the following professional
organizations:

- Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA)
- Baruch College Alumni Association
-
